Klagenfurt
Carinthia, with its capital Klagenfurt, is the southernmost federal state in Austria. It is also rumoured to be the warmest. Every year, the Pink Lake Festival takes place on Lake Wörthersee. An event on the lake in August where LGBTQ+ travellers from all over Europe come together. There is also a lot going on in Carinthia outside of this weekend.
The two best-known local drag queens Syphia Lis and Klara Mydia contribute a lot to this. During the summer months, Carinthia enjoys great popularity due to the climatic conditions. A true summer paradise and a good alternative to the sea.
