Particularly popular is the Yumbo Centrum, a large shopping and entertainment centre that is home to many LGBT establishments.

Maspalomas Pride:
Maspalomas Pride is one of the biggest LGBT events on Gran Canaria and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. It usually takes place in May and offers a week full of parades, parties, concerts and cultural events. It is a colourful and lively festival that celebrates the diversity and inclusion of the LGBT community.

LGBT-friendly beaches:
Gran Canaria has several beaches that are particularly popular with the LGBT community. The best known is Kiosk No. 7 on Maspalomas beach, also known as ‘Chiringuito No. 7’. This area is a meeting point for LGBT visitors and offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The nearby beach of Playa del Inglés is also very LGBT-friendly.

Winter Pride Maspalomas:
In addition to Maspalomas Pride in May, Winter Pride Maspalomas takes place in November. This event offers another opportunity to celebrate the diversity and community of the LGBT movement. Winter Pride includes parades, live performances, pool parties and various social and cultural activities.

Gran Canaria has a wide range of LGBT-friendly accommodation, from hotels to resorts. Many of these accommodations are located in Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas. Examples include the ‘AxelBeach Maspalomas’, a hotel especially for LGBT guests, and the ‘Rainbow Golf Bungalows’, a complex that only accommodates adults and mainly LGBT guests.
